Mother and Son Almost Homeless

Backstory:
In 2016, my boyfriend Nicks father, Dean, was diagnosed with prostate cancer. As a family who always tended to live paycheck to paycheck, this put a large weight on not only their emotional lives, but as well as their financial need. Any savings got poured into various surgeries and doctor visits. As time went on, and his sickness began to worsen, Dean was no longer able to work his job and left with no steady source of income. With a son and unemployed wife to care for, the entire family struggled to get by with what little they had. After a 4 year battle and a fight till the very end, on June 18th, 2019, Dean passed away.

Ever since that day, things have never seemed the same. I have watched Nicks family struggle every day. Whether it be coping with the loss of a father, or trying to pay the bills while still attending college. While both Nick and his mother Carolyn work every day to keep their home, they are also working towards paying down a $11,000 debt for the mortgage. As savings starting to finally build up, the mortgage company called demanding the remaining balance. With little sympathy for the situation, they gave Nicks family until February 19th to provide the remainder of the balance or the house will be placed in foreclosure.

This family has struggled everyday for the past 4 years. I ask to please give anything you can to help my boyfriends family to keep their home. It seems that any step forward gets negated by 2 steps back. With little options left and a payment due in a few days, this seems to be their last hope.
