Time is running out for Mortlake

The fight is on to save Mortlake. We have very little time left. The developers have submitted revised plans to the Council which have increased the number of units from 893 to 1085 with probably less than 20% of them being affordable. The only road works mitigation is a new left-hand turn at Chalker’s Corner. The secondary school application is essentially the same, although there is a fundamental question of the need for it and the resultant loss of the playing fields and open space.

Our Group has been working for over 10 years since the Brewery was sold for development. As local volunteers, we have managed to keep the campaign going with your help and support.  Many of you have already given generously. We have produced leaflets, banners, a website, and 3D visuals and paid for initial planning advice when an earlier scheme was put to the Council.

We need your help again to prepare for the hearing at Richmond’s Planning Committee probably in June or July. We urgently need legal and planning advice now to enable us to act quickly and effectively should the Borough approve the scheme.
