Morocco Earthquake Emergency Relief

Dear family, friends, and friends of friends! If you know me you know that I spend a lot of time in Morocco and particularly the region affected by the earthquake. Through my work with communities I have a close connection to families in the region and still have a large and trusted network who can reach out directly to affected families. My network can help to distribute funds directly to where it is most needed. The funds will contribute to cover medical bills, food and water, rebuilding and repair of houses. I intend to distribute the money directly to affected families through WesternUnion. The people in Morocco have always shown be the biggest hospitality, warmth, and love. Now it’s my time to give back. Please support me in making this happen.

Selection and Dispersement Mechanism:

I am working with my former colleague and good friend Said El Bennani and Errachid Montassir, who are on the ground in Morocco. They are in contact with the affected communities in the High Atlas Mountains. We are jointly creating a list of families who need help. We will gather information on what help exactly is needed (e.g. food, water, hygiene, medical bills, rebuilding and repair of houses, funeral costs). We will then prioritise the families who are affected the worst. To disperse the money, I will send the donations to Said via Western Union. Said will travel to the villages and disperse the money directly to the families. He will collect signatures upon receipt of the money so you can be assured that the money actually reaches. I will share all information with you upon your request.
