THE OPPORTUNITY
As a second generation disc golfer with a passion for ministry, I begged the Lord to give me opportunities to use disc golf for His kingdom. For nearly 15 years, I walked through every open door praying that it would be the way He used me in disc golf ministry. After several failed attempts at clubs, leagues, and communities, I got connected with Eagles Wings Disc Golf in 2023. Since then, I joined the staff as a part-time volunteer where I serve in my free time through graphics, marketing, and event planning.
In 2023, Eagles Wings sent a small team to Echo Ranch Bible Camp in Juneau, AK to design and install a 18-hole disc golf course for campers and community. But now, I have the unique opportunity to serve alongside a second team headed back September 7–15, 2025 where we will be serving in the following capacities:
- Designing and installing a short, 9-hole disc golf course catered to children and young families
- Performing maintenance on the longer 18-hole course
- Planning and executing the first PDGA-sanctioned event (retreat) at ERBC
WHY DISC GOLF?
Disc golf has proven to be a great activity for churches, camps, schools, and parks. Host sites can install 9 baskets for as little as $3,500, opening up gameplay to the community for FREE. Disc golf promotes:
- Physical benefits (exercise, muscle engagement, flexibility, balance, coordination)
- Mental benefits (stress reduction, mindfulness, focus/concentration, connection with nature)
- Social benefits (community involvement, fellowship, 1-on-1 conversations)
- So much more, all at NO COST to the player
The more facilities that include disc golf courses, the more opportunities organizations like Eagles Wings can continue to educate Believers globally to use disc golf as a ministry tool.

WHERE ARE THESE FUNDS GOING?
Eagles Wings is asking each team member to raise $1,500 to cover costs for travel (from Seattle to Juneau), lodging, food, and transportation on the ground. The remaining funds in my total goal are to cover airfare to/from Seattle where I will meet up with the rest of my team (we’re coming in from all over the United States), and any supplies needed for the trip. Any funds collected above and beyond my goal will be saved for future service opportunities with Eagles Wings.
