Sylvia and Morgan are expecting a little nugget in August! Baby has been diagnosed with a heart defect known as TGA and will be delivered at the University of Washington Hospital where it will be administered a life-saving medication upon arrival. Baby will then be immediately transferred to Seattle Children’s Hospital for open-heart surgery. Due to these circumstances, Morgan will need to take an estimated twelve weeks off work, and Sylvia far longer.

Sylvia and Morgan are two of the most caring people in the community. They open their home for farm tours, are always quick to help anyone in need, and take care of so many friends in their lives who have become found family. It is our turn to take care of them. On top of the weeks of work Morgan will be missing, they have mounting medical bills, will need food and accommodations while in Seattle, and additional unforeseen needs and expenses will arise.
