MORES Orphanage Dormitory Construction Fund
Donation protected
MORES (Mityana Orphan Relief, Education, and Shelter) is a community of children and caregivers in Mityana, Uganda who have lost their parents to Disease, War, and/or Economic Hardship. With the aid of supporters throughout the world an online support community has grown over the last two years to support these children’s needs in housing, medicine, food, education, and fuel expenses through small donations to a PayPal fundraiser kept active through an American volunteer. In an effort to invest in greater self-sufficiency for the orphans and MORES Orphanage, last year saw the creation of a GoFundMe whose purpose was to raise $3,000 to allow the purchase of a few acres in Mityana to re-settle the orphan community where they can grow their own food crops, harvest their own wood for fuel, access clean water more efficiently, and free themselves from the necessity of spending precious donation dollars on rent. This GoFundMe was successful and the land was purchased by Orphanage Director and Caregiver, Kakooza Ezekiel.
We now return to our supporters with a heartfelt request to share our new GoFundMe with your peers, family, friends, and colleagues as we aim to raise enough funds to build dormitories on this new land for the children to live in. Individuals or groups interested in donating enough money to completely pay for any of the specific construction needs can review the budget below for additional information. The children are thriving with the support of our friends internationally and are excited and grateful for this next step in the development of their new homestead. Thank You!
