Mor Dayanışma

Mor Dayanışma is an incredible independent women's organization in Turkey that has been advocating for women's rights in Turkey. They have been working tirelessly to aid women in Hatay, a region of Turkey devastated by earthquakes in 2023. They immediately began helping with search and rescue operations after the earthquake, and set up a women's solidarity tent in Samandağ. This ensured that women were able to have a safe space, access menstrual products, and be able to reach help if ever needed. Between 700 and 1000 women accessed the solidarity tent every day in the days following the earthquake. Since then, they have continued their feminist work in the region, with the organisation of a women and children's festival every summer. Activities ranged from concerts with local music, to a one-woman theatre performance for female-only attendees, to a panel with local lawyers and academics to discuss the plan for rebuilding homes.
