Dear Friends & Family, 

Craig and I are excited to announce that we have started the adoption process and we are so happy to share our journey of starting our family with you!

This year has been full of excitement with officially beginning the process with applications, MOUNDS of paperwork, and classes to attend. With all of that, we are happy to be done with the paperwork and have an APPROVED AND COMPLETED Home Study! While there are no certain timelines, we are hoping that 2020 is the year we are placed with a child and start a family.

Unsurprisingly, the adoption process is lengthy and expensive! Working with our agency, the overall cost of the process from start to finish is upwards of $40,000. Through much thriftiness and side hustling, we have been fortunate to pay our way so far in the process, but we realized we need some help to cross the finish line.

Here is where your piece of the puzzle comes in!

Adoption Puzzle

Our fundraising goal is represented by a 500-piece puzzle. Here is how it works:

1.       For every $20 donated to the campaign, we will add your name to the back of one puzzle piece.

2.       You can purchase as many puzzle pieces as you wish! Aside from GoFundMe, we also are happy to accept donations in the mail or in person.

3.       Once completed, we will frame the puzzle to hang in our child’s room for them to see and be reminded of all the love and support they had through this journey!!

As you may imagine, it is tricky to plan a baby shower when adopting, given the many unknowns with timing and other factors, so we would like to think of this as not only an adoption fundraiser, but also an adoption shower!

We hope throughout this process to share some of our gained knowledge and awareness in what a modern-day adoption looks like. We welcome any and all questions and look forward to sharing updates as they come.
