If you know them, you love them and they have some very exciting news!!! The Moody family is adopting!!! Matt and Ashley have started the journey of adoption and we cannot be more excited for them!!
Here is a little bit about my sister and her husband (in case you do not already know how wonderful they are!). Ashley and Matt are high school sweethearts who, in my opinion, have the strongest love and marriage out there. They began the journey of growing their family almost 6 years ago which then led them down the road of infertility. Needless to say, it has not been an easy journey. In February of 2017, much to their surprise, Ashley found out she was pregnant! As the pregnancy progressed Ashley and Matt found out they were pregnant with TWINS. Ashley’s pregnancy continued to surprise them as they later found out the twin girls were mono-mono (sharing one placenta and thus, one blood supply). Plans were arranged with a team of doctors to follow the pregnancy so that they could watch the girls progress and ensure those precious girls would arrive into this world safely. Much to everyone’s disbelief, during a doctor’s appointment in May of 2017, Matt and Ashley were told the girls hearts were slowing down and they were not going to make it. It was only hours later that the girls passed away, delivered and born straight to Jesus. Ashley and Matt have walked through some of the toughest grief that no one should ever have to walk through.
As their heart's desire to grow their family continued, they knew that adoption was the route they wanted to pursue. It was something that they discussed from the beginning of their infertility struggles and waited on God's timing to pursue. We are so excited for them and the little one that is going to be joining our family! I wanted to set up this GoFundMe for Ashley and Matt because I know so many people would love to show support whether financially or through prayer! Please pray with us for financial provision, for this process to be fast and smooth, for peace, and for the sweet baby and birth mother. We would love for you to come alongside them as they move forward and wait to be matched with a baby to call theirs forever.
