Mooberry's Miracle
Our story is a unique one, just like us! We started dating over fifteen years ago when we were both freshmen in high school. Honestly, we fell in love fast. Our love for each other has only grown in the last 15 years and I’m not kidding! Unfortunately, on Christmas Eve of 2005, Ethan received the final diagnosis of Ewing’s Sarcoma. Ewing’s is a malignant bone cancer that affected his left tibia. We both knew that we had a fight coming and we both took it in stride.
After fourteen months, seventeen cycles of chemo, and a left leg amputation, Ethan was cancer free! However, his treatments made it extremely difficult to have children at this stage of our life. Throughout the ups and downs we have remained positive, thankful and most importantly prayed to our lord for guidance through our journey.
In our late twenties, we underwent infertility treatments. As heartbreaking as it was, nothing took and we were left in the same place that we started. Both of us were still eager to have a family, but natural conception did not have a positive outlook. This, along with many nights praying together for an answer, has led us to adoption. Prayer to our Lord has given us peace and cleared the pathway of which we have decided to take because after all, we do not have to fight science to become a family!
We have decided to pair with Mustard Seed Consultants in an attempt to cast a wide net to find our new baby! They have been outstanding to work with so far, and we look forward adding a blessing to our family that we can dedicate our lives to!
Where we are in life, we cannot wait to share all the love we have with our new family member! Here is our GoFundMe page; as many of you know, the adoption process is very expensive. We have set our goal at $50,000 to cover the cost of the average adoption, as well as any needed travel expenses since the baby can be found at a moments notice and across the country. We appreciate every donation and social media share! Also, please pray for we will be matched, the babie’s health and the birth momma’s health as well! Please help us make our dreams come true as we know that this journey is truly ‘worth the wait’.
