Montreal Synagogue Vandalized Twice in One night!
Donation protected
Last night, on March 2nd, our beloved synagogue of 30 years, Torah Vehaim, was violated not once, but twice, by heartless thieves. Our sacred space, where we connect with our faith and our community, was specifically targeted. The criminals broke through two secured entrances, stealing charity boxes and triggering an alarm that brought police to the scene at 3 AM. Despite assurances from the authorities that they would not return that night, the robbers boldly came back at 4 AM, this time targeting the Rabbi's office. They broke through drywalls, causing extensive damage and stealing more valuables. This was not a random act of theft, but a deliberate attempt to desecrate our place of worship.
In a stunning blunder, the robbers left behind their phone, providing a crucial clue for the Montreal Police to investigate. With the help of the authorities and your prayers (tfillot), we hope to bring these criminals to justice and hold them accountable for their despicable act.
As a member of this community, I implore you to help us rebuild and restore our beautiful synagogue to its former glory. Any contribution, big or small, will be deeply appreciated. Let us stand together and show that we will not be intimidated by hate. We will rebuild and continue to worship, stronger than ever.
