Many of you know that Dominic and I are having a baby, I am currently 29 weeks pregnant. We found out we are having a boy, and we named him Monte, in honor of my brother PFC Elden David Arcand who passed away in 2005. He loved Monte Carlos.  We found out on September 23 2019 that due to multiple medical issues that when Monte is born, he won't live long. We are asking for help with funeral costs, and for my husband to be able to stay home  from work and grieve for a couple weeks and also to help take care of me after birth. We are not sure when he will be born yet, but it is looking like it will be sooner than later.  Specifically, Monte's kidneys do not work at all. We saw in the ultra sound that he has clusters of cysts in his kidneys and they are continuing to grow. With his kidneys not functioning, I have lost all amintioc fluid, and so his lungs and many other organs and limbs cannot develop well. The only thing keeping him alive at this point is the umbilical cord. Also with there being no amniotic fluid, he is not able to move, and he is breached, and his face is becoming deformed as well because he is pushed up against my placenta. We apologize for many of you finding out this way, we have not been able to really talk about this as it is beyond painful.  We will keep you updated when we are able too.  We thank you all for your support and love as we are going through our worst nightmare. We are still praying for a miracle, and we have placed our trust in God, and trust that he has a plan, and that he will carry us through this no matter the outcome.  "I lift my eyes up to the mountains, where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth."  Psalm 121: 1-2  God gave us this scripture to show us that he is here with us and he will help us through this. And by no coincidence, Monte means mountain. And our due date is 1/21.
