Hello,
My name is Deseree, and I have been the Manager of Blustery's Burger Drive-In and a close friend to Greg and his family for ten years.
Gregory L. Montaño and his family have owned and operated Blusterys for the last 16 years. Sadly, Greg passed away on June 20th 2022 due to a set of complicated health conditions he fought for many years. During that fight, Greg still found time to travel the west coast and live his best life while running the restaurant he loved. Greg's unwavering work ethic was a step above the rest; he touched countless lives and created a plethora of memories and opportunities for many.
Greg dedicated much of his life to developing and maintaining relationships with his friends and family. His laugh and energy were contagious, and he often spearheaded many parties and events he attended. His love of music and his ability to provide delicious meals also contributed to his natural ability to keep the party going and include anyone willing to join.
He was a leader, mentor and friend to many. He will be greatly missed and forever appreciated by those who had the honor to know him.
His wife Sue and children Greg Jr., Rick, Joe and Jake are amazingly fantastic and hard-working individuals too. You can genuinely see the best parts of Greg shine through them all, and the world is a better place for it.
On behalf of the family, we thank you for considering any donations you can provide as the family navigates the medical and business bills left behind. Through thick and thin, covid and other obstacles, the restaurant has always been open and provided for their family and many others. But most importantly, we ask that you think of Greg and his family during these challenging times and make sure that you sing along whenever a Jimmy Buffet (or any other artist/song Greg loved) comes on.
