UPDATE - We’re on.. for summer 26th June to 3rd July 2022 to do a double summit attempt of Mont Blanc and Gran Paradiso (Italy’s highest mountain entirely in Italy) in under one week - 15774ft Mont Blanc / Gran Paradiso 13,323 ft)
I’m continuing to train hard & smart, thank you for your kind support, be mindful & take care of one another - Paul.
It’ll take 3-4 days depending on the weather windows and it’ll include steep roped climbs, negotiating glaciers and crevasse’s as well as staying on the side of the mountain at a number of stages during the accent/decent, then push from base camp to summit in the early hours of the morning, where Paul will plant the flag firmly in the ground for MIND at the top of the mountain and make some money for a very worthy charity at the same time.
After a day of recoup, preparations will commence to climb The Matterhorn whose summit is 4,478 metres (14,692 ft) high, The Matterhorn is considered a very dangerous mountain with steep climbs and largely exposed ridges with nowhere to hide, the push to summit is a huge undertaking and on a knife edge with -15,000ft drops either side of the edge!
It will be a self-funded climb with all donations going directly from the Go Fund Me Page to the charity after climbs, Paul will do a video diary of the climb and share it along the way with you, he’ll start the journey from Chamonix in Haute-Savoie, France, so please show some support, give what you can afford and support the lads in making a difference for those who need it.
We’ve all got our own mountains to climb in this world, they just look a little different!
Let’s make a difference together!!
Much love Paul x

Paul Owen isn’t new to the odd adventure, a North Manchester lad who served in the British Army and seen active service in Northern Ireland over the years as well as operational service in Iraq in 2003 during the 2nd Gulf War to name but a few of his tours, Paul left the British Army some 16 years+ ago, however, like most of us Paul has seen and felt first-hand how depression and PTSD can take a hold of friends and loved ones and the devastation suicide leaves behind, this left him wanting to take positive action to raise money and awareness of depression and PTSD in a modern world...
