Mon’s Race To The Great North Run Finish Line!

Well here goes something! As some of you may know once a year and usually in September I like to embark on a little adventure called rehab.

Just kidding, however for the past few years I challenge myself to a task, some being wild camping and hiking 100 miles (and checking into premier inn on the last night) and the last year being a waltz around the Cleveland Way with blisters and IBS. It’s my way of detoxing from life and having a brain cleanse aswell as a break from the club pub and nightlife scene for a week. A mental challenge if you will.

However this year I wanted to challenge myself over a few months prior also, to really test myself.

Now I’m not trying to cure the worlds injustices, or doing anything spectacular like try and competitively eat, and I’m defiantly not ready to give up smoking or gin.

This may shock people, as I’m not the fittest fiddle but….

I’m going to be doing the Great North Run in Aid of Angel Trust, an incredible North East Charity, Hailed a “Charity For The People” that raises thousands every year providing services for people who are in need of help, which we all need at times, and god knows I do.

Services such as Toy Appeals, Food Banks, Counselling, Debt Management, Substance Abuse Support, Homelessness and Shelter Provision, door to door help and so much more!

Please support me on my journey in raising funds, or even support and encouragement on the day!

It make come as a shock to people but MONARCHY is all an illusion, and underneath lies someone far more sensitive, a lot more of an overthinker and a lot less glamourous, not all of you know his name and some of you do however this is a journey for him and not Mon, so she’s going to leave her hair at home for this race!
