Hello, my name is Justin and I've lived in San Francisco for over a decade. 



My dear friends Monq and Kim have suffered a fire at their longtime home which has destroyed the rear deck/fire escape (along with most of the kitchen) and will almost certainly cause them to be displaced for a good deal of time (if not evicted in the process). The timing could not be worse, Kim is just getting started working for "Project Homeless Connect"  to help with the ever increasing problem of homelessness in San Francisco. The fact that she took a job at this organization and only weeks later is in danger of being homeless herself says so much about our city and the delicate fabric of our community.  To complicate things even more, only a few weeks ago Monq  finished additional schooling to try and adapt to the ever-changing marketplace and had begun looking for work.  



These are people who care about community; working on political campaigns, art projects, and have been there for their friends. They have deep roots here. They would be missed and there are no guarantees they can stay in a city becoming harder and harder to live in. But in the meantime, they are going to need support.
