Communities can change the world.

This Thanksgiving, two grassroots Facebook communities — **Bay Area Grocery Buddies** and the **Mountain View Moms Group** — are coming together to share warmth, compassion, and hot meals with our unhoused neighbors across the Bay Area.

Our goal is simple: serve 500 hot Thanksgiving meals to individuals experiencing homelessness across San Jose, Mountain View, San Francisco, Oakland, and Antioch.

Each meal costs just $5, and with your help, we can make sure no one is forgotten this holiday season.

Our Story: Earlier this year, the same moms and volunteers behind this effort came together to support local families and moms in crisis when SNAP benefits were delayed. Thanks to incredible community generosity, we raised over $21,000 in grocery gift cards, feeding nearly 150 families with the help of more than 125 sponsors.

Now that those benefits have been restored, our focus has shifted to another vulnerable group — the unhoused population — who face even greater challenges as the weather turns colder.

How You Can Help:

Every $5 donation funds one hot, hearty Thanksgiving meal — complete with care, dignity, and human connection. We are partnering with organizations that served the unhoused.

You can sponsor meals in increments of $5:

* $5 = 1 meal

* $25 = 5 meals

* $50 = 10 meals

* $100 = 20 meals

No amount is too small — every dollar brings warmth and nourishment to someone in need.

Our Goal:

To raise $2,500 (and a little more for fees) to cover the cost of 500 meals distributed across 5 Bay Area cities. Together, we can turn the spirit of Thanksgiving into real, tangible care for those who need it most.
