Hello my name is Ashley aka Ogyogini. I’m fundraising to save my vehicle, which is essential to the livelihood of our large family of 9.

Our family has faced many challenges over the past few years. I birthed surprise twins in 2018~, and in 2020, birthed another set of twins. And just 9 months later I discovered I was pregnant again, and birthed our 7th child Seashell in 2022.

Just days after Seashell’s arrival, we were asked to leave our home of 7 years, with only 30 days to vacate. The day we moved out, with my one month infant and my 6 other kids in the car, I was hit by a woman speeding. She totaled her car and caused significant damage to our only vehicle. My insurance didn’t cover the damage, unfortunately. After the accident, the car was still drivable, but barely. Six months ago the transmission went caput, and my vehicle has been sitting inoperable.

I am elated to share we have finally found a reliable mechanic work on the car. The bill is going to be well over $6k for the transmission, windshield, bumper, and alignment. I am in deep prayer that community can help our family save this essential vehicle. I have been walking and relying on friends to help me get my older children to and from school and activities, but have been unable to work teaching classes without reliable transportation.

I feel ashamed asking for help with the incredible suffering in the world but through prayer, have been guided to reach out since the mechanic has shown up like an angel and said he can definitely fix everything. I have never had such ease with a mechanic, so although it’s difficult and humbling to reach out publicly, I am hoping that this urgent need for our family’s welfare can be met through lots of little donations. Even $5 or $10 would make a difference.

I am open to exchange as well and have online yoga classes to offer in exchange for donations, monthly memberships to my online yoga school. In addition, for locals near to me in Costa Rica, I can offer healing movement sessions and myofascial release body work. Please reach out if you feel called to donate and to receive my energy in return, I am always so excited for exchange. Private sessions are usually $150. I would be so happy to drive to your place near me when my car is back.

My dream is to be mobile with my children again, to teach publicly and to continue my dance and yoga school near the ocean that I have run since 2014. Having this vehicle here in the mountains feels like the most essential tool in my toolbox so I humbly request your help by donating, sharing or simply offering a prayer.
