I am fundraising to share an extraordinary opportunity I have been given to participate in a Young Adult Mission Trip to India this summer, partnering with Momentum Global. Our team, composed of college students from across the United States, will serve in Kolkata and the village of Partapur for two and a half weeks in June.

Our time in Kolkata will be spent working with Momentum Global Ministries, serving children and families of the Dalit people in the slums. We will engage with their established elementary school and youth programs, including the Momentum Global Soccer Club and the Asha Girl Program, which empowers young Indian women to remain in school and avoid early marriage. We will also visit families in the slum areas, conduct a Vacation Bible School for approximately 300 children, and serve the disabled at two Mother Teresa homes. Furthermore, we will participate in a medical camp and assist with slum cleanup efforts.

I visited Kolkata last year and was deeply moved by the love and resilience I witnessed. I believe my work there is not yet complete, and I am eager to return. While we anticipate challenges due to cultural and climatic differences, our team is prepared to embrace these experiences and step outside our comfort zones. We will immerse ourselves in the vibrant culture of Kolkata, exploring the markets, the Ganges River, and experiencing local traditions. In Partapur, we will contribute to educational efforts and participate in a village church service. Our primary goal in both locations is to share the love of Christ.

This mission trip will provide invaluable insight into the impact of poverty, religious oppression, and the caste system on the most vulnerable populations. I would be deeply grateful if you would partner with us through prayer, asking for effectiveness, protection, and personal transformation for our team. Our team is working to raise $5,000 to cover airfare, food, lodging, and contributions to local ministries.

This mission trip represents a significant personal challenge and a profound opportunity to serve the Lord. I am immensely grateful for this chance to share His love throughout the world. As Acts 13:47 states, "For this is what the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”
