My Mom Is a HERO — She Saved My Little Brother’s Life!
On Friday, October 3rd, 2025, my world changed forever.
My mom and my 9-year-old little brother Bronx were hit by a car that ran a red light while they were walking across the street in a marked crosswalk on Spring Grove Avenue, right across from the District 3 Impound Lot.
The driver didn’t stop and has yet to be caught. Police camera footage is backlogged according to District 3 so we have no updates yet.
In that split second, my mom’s instincts kicked in — she pushed Bronx out of the way and took the brunt of the impact herself. Because of her, Bronx survived.

Bronx’s Injuries
Bronx walked away with:
• A fractured elbow
• Five stitches on his arm
• Road rash and bruises
• A minor concussion
He’s sore and a bit shaken up, but he’s home recovering thanks to my mom’s quick action.

My Mom’s Injuries
My mom suffered life-threatening injuries and is still fighting through pain every single day.
She has:
• Bleeding on the brain
• Several pelvic fractures
• A punctured bladder
• Severe road rash across her body
Doctors say she’ll be confined to a wheelchair for at least 1 month and she won’t be able to return to work for at least 4–6 months — maybe longer.
⸻
Her Everyday Battle (Even Before the Accident)
Even before this tragedy, my mom was fighting silent battles every single day and still showing up for everyone she loves.
She lives with:
• Arthritis
• Multiple slipped disks in her back
• Scoliosis
• Pinched sciatic nerve
• Pernicious anemia (she lives with a dangerously low blood count of 4–5 daily)
• Cellulitis autoimmune disease
• Chronic gut issues that make eating and digestion extremely difficult
Yet despite all of this, she still worked full-time for Cincinnati Public Schools and cared for everyone around her — including her own parents.
She is a caregiver, protector, and true fighter in every sense.

️ Why We’re Raising Funds
My mom is a single mother of four (ages 28, 18, 16, and 9).
She’ll need months of recovery, physical therapy, and ongoing care.
We’re raising funds to cover:
• Rent and living expenses while she’s unable to work
- Remaining Rent $425
- Electric $94
- Water $248
- Insurance $85
- Food/Toiletries
• Hospital bills, rehab, and therapy
• Transportation and home recovery equipment
• Support for Bronx’s follow-up appointments and school needs
Every donation — no matter how small — makes a difference. It helps my mom focus on healing instead of worrying about bills.

From Our Family to Yours
We’re still in shock, but we’re holding onto gratitude — gratitude that Bronx is alive, gratitude that my mom is still here, and gratitude for the love this community has shown us already.
She’s a walking miracle.
A mother. A fighter. A hero.
Thank you for helping us carry her through this.
