<div>On Friday, October 3rd, 2025, my world changed forever.

<div>My mom and my 9-year-old little brother Bronx were hit by a car that ran a red light while they were walking across the street in a marked crosswalk on Spring Grove Avenue, right across from the District 3 Impound Lot.
</div>

</div>
<div>The driver didn’t stop and has yet to be caught. Police camera footage is backlogged according to District 3 so we have no updates yet.
</div>

<div>In that split second, my mom’s instincts kicked in — she pushed Bronx out of the way and took the brunt of the impact herself. Because of her, Bronx survived.

<div>My mom suffered life-threatening injuries and is still fighting through pain every single day.

<div>•	Bleeding on the brain
</div>
<div>•	Several pelvic fractures
</div>
<div>•	A punctured bladder
</div>
<div>•	Severe road rash across her body

<div>Doctors say she’ll be confined to a wheelchair for at least 1 month and she won’t be able to return to work for at least 4–6 months — maybe longer.

<div>Her Everyday Battle (Even Before the Accident)
</div>

<div>Even before this tragedy, my mom was fighting silent battles every single day and still showing up for everyone she loves.

<div>She lives with:

<div>•	Arthritis
</div>
<div>•	Multiple slipped disks in her back
</div>
<div>•	Scoliosis
</div>
<div>•	Pinched sciatic nerve
</div>
<div>•	Pernicious anemia (she lives with a dangerously low blood count of 4–5 daily)
</div>
<div>•	Cellulitis autoimmune disease
</div>
<div>•	Chronic gut issues that make eating and digestion extremely difficult
</div>

<div>Yet despite all of this, she still worked full-time for Cincinnati Public Schools and cared for everyone around her — including her own parents.

<div>She is a caregiver, protector, and true fighter in every sense.
