Mom Power

As many of you know, my nickname is “Momma Mary” as I try to be Momma to so many. While I don’t normally put my personal business on social media, I am making an exception.  After eight years of raising Keller on my own, I made the decision to give Keller’s dad one more chance and to involve him in Keller’s life. Keller could not have been happier and things were looking wonderful.  We started merging our lives together and things really were working out… until they weren’t and history began to quickly repeat itself. After a nasty bout of an abusive relationship, I decided it was time for us to cut ties with Keller‘s father. Upon my decision for us to part ways, Keller’s father lost it and cut us off from life in any way he possibly could. He took our car, kicked us out of the home without most of our belongings, took my money, disconnected our phones and basically left us without blinking twice. He has yet to check on Keller...and it’s been a month. I have worked tirelessly over the last month  trying to piece our life back together. Unfortunately Mark, Kellers father,  sees this as a battle to be won against ME versus the best interest of our child. He has since filed for sole custody of Keller and to amend child support obligations (though he hasn’t paid any since 2017).
I have been very fortunate and with the help of friends and family been able to move in with family until, hopefully, our new lease with aunt Lindsy starts next month. I was able to start a new bank account and get new cell phones. My parents are helping me look for a new car and  the icing on the cake is I was also able to land what seems to be my dream job, starting in August. Pepper in my upcoming back surgery and it’s been an exciting summer!
But to add as much salt to the wound possible, Mark has decided to take us to court and try to take custody of Keller.  I am already skimming the bottom of the barrel trying to make it all work out and start a new life without an abusive father in the picture but the cost of attorneys and preparation for this case is proving to be a lot more than I bargained for. Mark has been very lucky and come across a very large inheritance that is assisting him in preparing for this case. I have no idea nor would ever want to know one day on this earth without Keller in my life. So, I am reaching out in any way I know possible for help.  If you have a few spare coins you could donante in helping to ensure Keller could never be put back in that situation, I would be eternally grateful. Attorneys’ fees in custody cases aren’t cheap and Mark knows he can back me in a financial corner to win with his endless means of income. 
Please help me win and ensure this young man is brought up in a loving household that wants what’s best for him and not a peeing contest to see “who can win”.
