Rosa is pregnant, due in August, with three kids ages 15, 14 and 5. On April 24th her husband, Jose, was taken by ICE on his way to work. Rosa was taking their three kids to school when they got the call that he had been detained, and in an instant the life they had built for their family was forever changed. Jose was quickly sent to a Louisiana detention center, and has since been deported to Guatemala. The family now finds itself without the love and support from Jose, who was the sole breadwinner, leaving them in an impossible situation. They are struggling to cover their basic necessities—food, rent, utilities, etc. This is especially difficult as Rosa is preparing to welcome a new baby while also taking care of their other 3 kids by herself. The emotional and financial toll on the entire family is overwhelming and they need your support.

We are reaching out to ask for your help and contribution towards $13,770. The money raised here will be used by Rosa to help cover their rent, utilities, groceries and daily expenses of the family for 3 months. Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly to Rosa to help them through this incredibly difficult time. There is extreme need across our community - PG IRC prioritizes fundraising for families that have children, at least one parent detained or deported by ICE, and that are struggling to make ends meet.***

Rosa está embarazada, con fecha de nacimiento en Agosto, con tres hijos de 15, 14 y 5 años. En Abril 24 su esposo Jose, fue detenido por ICE mientras se dirigía al trabajo. Rosa estaba llevando a sus tres niños al colegio cuando recibió una llamada que Jose había sido detenido, y en un instante la vida de familia que ellos habían construido fue cambiada para siempre. Jose fue rápidamente enviado a un centro de detención en Luisiana y posteriormente deportado a Guatemala. La familia se encuentra ahora privada del amor y el apoyo de Jose —quien era el único sostén económico del hogar— y sin medios para cubrir sus necesidades básicas de alimentación, alquiler, servicios públicos, etc. Esto es especialmente difícil para Rosa puesto que está preparándose para el nacimiento de su bebe en Agosto al mismo tiempo que necesita cuidar de sus otros 3 niños. El impacto emocional y financiero sobre toda la familia es abrumador y necesitan su apoyo.

Nos dirigimos a ustedes para solicitar su ayuda y contribución con el fin de recaudar la suma de $13,770.
