Hi, my name is Elizabeth. I have been a nurse for 13 years and one of my jobs is working in the local Children's Hospital. With the COVID-19 Pandemic, many children are isolated to their rooms. Some kids are without their parents or other visitors. Due to current infection control issues, new (single-use) items are needed.
I saw a link to a Wal-Mart gift registry full of requests for kids in the hospital. When I was telling my two boys about it, they immediately wanted to help. Their allowance only goes so far, so after much discussion we came up with a fun plan to ask for donations.
If we reach the goal of $250.00, Abel will get a red mohawk. If we reach $500.00, Jack will get a blue mohawk. If we can raise $1000.00, my husband Mike will get a PURPLE mohawk!
100% of all donations will go to Prisma Health Children's Hospital in Columbia, SC. I am including a link to their registry. We would like to raise the money in the next few days as the registry closes on April 30th.
