Moel Siabod Sportive Bike Ride for MND 8th June 2024

A good friend of mine and fellow rugby player Matt Gallagher was diagnosed with MND in October 2023.

Matt is a truly impressive person and has set it as his mission to make a positive impact to those people who are affected by MND in the West Midlands - and boy has he already made a difference raising and distributing significant funds to those in immediate need.

So I am doing my small part by riding the Moel Siabod Sportif Bike Ride on June 8th 2024 with 30 other like minded ex rugby players who aim to raise £50k between us.

Yes £50k because that is what it costs to provide one MND nurse for a year. The West Midlands currently has 1.5 and Matt through his Foundation is determined to provide more nurses.

If you could play your part by making a contribution then I'd be very grateful and it would aid as motivation on those very steep roads of Snowdonia.

Cycling 105 miles with a 9000ft ascent in Snowdonia is no small feat, but knowing that the funds raised are going towards the Matt Gallagher Foundation adds a meaningful purpose to the endeavour.

Matt Gallagher's determination to support the MND community despite facing his diagnosis is truly inspiring. MND presents immense challenges, not only for the individuals affected but also for their families. By establishing the Matt Gallagher Foundation, Matt and his family are providing much-needed support and hope to those grappling with this condition.

Every contribution, regardless of its size, can make a difference in supporting the Foundation's efforts. Whether it's through participation in the ride, spreading awareness, or making a donation, everyone has the opportunity to contribute to this important cause.
