Mocny Family Twin Journey

Update: For those of you following our journey thank you so much for the love and support. We really couldn’t do this without all of you!

I will be admitted to the hospital on Monday and will stay until our scheduled c section at the end of October. We will all be closely monitored and start steroids for the babies.

Baby boys will be delivered at 34 weeks and spend some time in the NICU. We are thankful for our medical team and our family support through this time.

The girls and Jordan will be able to come visit me in the hospital and as mentioned before for the next 2 ish months we will be splitting our time between our home and the hospital.

Thank you all for following our journey

We are in an unexpected situation with many potential scenarios. It has been heavy and difficult for us to grasp how this will affect our lives for the remainder of pregnancy and after delivery.

At my 20 week ultrasound, I was diagnosed with Vasa Previa a very rare condition in which the fetal blood vessels are unprotected and running over my cervix. If the vessel ruptures, the baby loses all their blood very quickly. This pregnancy became even more high risk quickly for both babies and myself.

If all goes as planned I will be hospitalized at 30 weeks and deliver via C section at 34 weeks. This is standard procedures for vasa previa patients. This is so MFM team can closely monitor babies and mama for early signs of labor.

With this being said our lives will look a lot different while I’m in the hospital and have two babies at home and two babies in the NICU. Being a military family we don’t have family close by (although our military family is amazing) we will need additional help with the girls.

Jordan will be juggling being there to support me in the hospital, work and being with the girls. Between my hospital stay and the babies spending sometime in the NICU this will add additional expenses we normally don’t have.

Many friends and family have asked how they can help. We’ve never been in a position like this before but we are thankful for platforms like this to allow people to help from afar.

Your generosity will help alleviate the financial strain this season brings. No matter how small, every donation will make a significant difference in our lives and help us provide the best care for all our babies during this critical time.

Thank you for all your generosity and support ❤️
