The C.A.Ts' Mobile Outreach and Shower Bus has been rolling on the streets of Flagstaff since the beginning of August and the reviews from our unsheltered guests are wonderful! "Everyone should have a bus like this!" "Thank you so much for doing this!" "You are making such a difference for us!" "I haven't had a shower in a month. This is such a wonderful treat!"

Imagine what it would be like not to be able to shower when you're dirty, use a bathroom when you need one, brush your teeth, have clean clothes, not be able to get a bandaid to cover a cut or aspirin for your headache, to have people shun you because of how you look or smell or move away when you get too close; all because you are poor and don't have access to basic hygiene supplies, clean water or a place to clean up. That's what it's like for people who are experiencing homelessness.

Our unsheltered community members deserve an opportunity to be clean. Basic health and hygiene is not only important for the individual, but for the community as a whole. Cleanliness reduces the transmission of diseases, including Covid-19, contributes to better mood and mental health, and improves the lives of everyone.

With your continued support, C.A.Ts of Flagstaff will be able to help those who don't have easy access to regular hygiene through its mobile outreach, shower and hygiene program. We are keeping our expenses quite nominal, but in order to have one paid staff person, buy fuel to keep the bus running, maintain it, pay for propane to heat the water and maintain socially responsible insurance it takes about $250-$300 per day to run. Any donation amount is appreciated and will allow us, as a community, to envelop those in need with care and compassion.
