Mauricio Fascio Memorial Field & Youth Soccer League
Tax deductible
Mauricio Fascio was a passionate lover of football and supporter culture, a true ambassador to the game and the culture we all love. A Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) Member, leader of the District 9 Ultras Supporter Group, and Vice President of The 3252 Independent Supporters Union (The 3252), Mauricio – or “Mo” to his friends – brought people together, shared joy, and helped build LAFC from the ground up. In March 2021, we lost Mo to COVID-19.
In honor of Mo, LAFC, the LAFC Foundation, and The 3252 are partnering with the City of Cudahy to fund a low-cost youth soccer league that will be hosted at a combination of parks throughout the city. In addition, a new soccer field at the soon to be renovated Clara Street Expansion Parkwill be called Colibrí Field in Memory of Mo.
Our hope is that the memorial field will be a place for the community to gather, play, and remember our beloved Mo. The youth soccer league will provide a safe space for youth from SELA to play and build community.
Funds to cover the full operational, material and maintenance costs of the youth league for a minimum of five years are being raised jointly by The 3252, LAFC, and the LAFC Foundation. We are asking for donations to help us build a new safe place for kids and adults alike to play the game he loved so much. Thank you.
SOMOS DEL BARRIO ANGELINO.
Forza Mo ❤
