Hi there! My name is Amos, I currently live in Scotland but am originally from Romania. I am raising funds to finance my one-month stint in Sao Paulo, where I will be volunteering for Operation Mobilisation UK (OM) and their local partner in ‘Ministério Restauração’. The Ministério Restauração aims to aid underprivileged children and their communities through activities such as sport and by proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ. My responsibilities there will include organising activities for kids and teens in the area, leading Bible studies, and teaching them English. Often serving can be underappreciated when it comes to the life of a Christian, and I believe spending a month at the Agape project (whose main purpose is to serve its community) could really help me better understand the nature of a servant heart, and therefore draw closer to Christ, who was the ultimate servant. Furthermore, the opportunity to travel to a different continent for the first time and experience a vastly different culture excites me. However, these short-term mission trips don't come cheap and I need your help to raise £2500. This budget is split between accommodation & food (£1360), flight tickets (£900), insurance (£105), and other expenses once I am there, e.g., any days out (£135). Any contributions are greatly appreciated as is prayer for God's provision both financially and also when it comes to some admin so that I can go ahead with this. Also, feel free to share this with anyone you might think is interested. You may have noticed that the name of the camp has changed. This is because the original camp has been suspended for the summer (Brazilian winter) but thankfully the Ministério Restauração was being run in the same area so was able to have a smooth transition to it. Thank you and wish you all the best!
