M &M 3D FaceShields
Hello !
As we will be dealing with the spread of Covid-19 for many months, it was suggested to us to start making protective face shields to help stop the spread.We are Marc Hawley and Martha Sousa We are both retired andnow working full time on making these face shields. With the encouragement and guidance of a family member who knows much about the 3-D printing process, we bought a 3-D printer, some rolls of PETG filament, rolls of Grafix Dura-Lar .005 clear plastic, and some other supplies. We are currently making about 20 shields a day. Our intention is to give these out to nursing care centers hospitals and first responders in the Tampa Bay,St Petersburg and Hernando Florida communities. We have already delivered some to 3 nursing centers in the Tampa Bay Area. The demand for these face shields is exceeding our supply. We have over 150 requests and had to stop reaching out because of limited supply. This page has been set to accept donations to help us with the cost of this project. As requests rise, we are prepared to run more printers. We are donating our time tothis project. We have been working most days from 8am-8pm. Any money leftover from this project will be donated to charity. People who donate can chose a charity or we will find one affected by the Covid-19 virus.
