My husband and father of our 6 children and number 7 on the way, due July 10th, has been deported to Samoa. He has been the only provider for our family. He’s a loving and devoted husband and father. We have already been separated from him for the past 4 months when ICE detained him in February. These months have been horrible for us and extremely difficult. He’s not only my husband but also my best friend and it’s extremely hard facing the reality that he won’t be here for the birth of our new son. He can’t return to this country for 20 years. We are trying to raise money to be reunited with him in Samoa. We need money for plane tickets, passports, and luggage for myself and our children. This experience has been horrible and difficult for our whole family. Since ICE has detained him he has missed 2 of our children’s birthdays, our boys basketball games, our wedding anniversary, Mother’s Day, Easter, and our daughters 8th grade graduation. He will also miss the birth of our son, at least 2 more of our children’s birthdays, and Father’s Day before we know there is a chance of us being reunited with him. The last 4 months we have been denied any physical contact with him. Our visits have been at a jail, through a window, 2 times a week, for a total of 3 hours. Our last goodbye before his deportation was still through a window. Here’s what our 8 year old son wrote and his teacher displayed at his open house.
