As of June 5, 2020 the Covid-19 crisis has resulted in 20,282 positive cases, 984 deaths, and 4,248 recoveries in the Philippines.
Dancalan, Ilog in Negros Occidental was under enhanced community quarantine, which has left many families severely affected: no work, no pay, and limited means of transportation to get from remote areas into bigger cities. Coupled with price increases for daily needs, the most vulnerable people are in desperate need.

Our goal is to bring aid in the form of food packages to 19 marginalized/remote areas in Barangay Dancalan Ilog, with the hopes of expanding in the future.
For now, we are prioritizing households with senior citizens, pregnant women, children, and persons with disability.
We calculate that $5000 (about 250,000 PHP) can provide an estimated 70-80 food packs per area. Included:
1. 1 food pack
2. 2 kgs of rice grain
3. 4 pcs dried fish
4. 2 canned goods (sardines/beef/meatloaf)
5. 2 packages of noodles
6. 2 sachets of coffee
7. 1 sachet of soy sauce
8. 1 small bar of soap
Donated costs will also contribute to fuel and packaging. As soon as funds are received, we will continue to buy items as needed.
This is a family-run operation with additional help from volunteers who wish to give their time and love. We are doing this because it is our home and our people. Having these increased funds will go a very long way to each much unnecessary suffering. We sincerely thank you for any and all help!

Selamat Po! Thank You!
