Hi Everyone!
As some of you may know, Wes and Katie Parrish had their sweet baby boy, Walker, 3 months premature.
On the night of February 17th, Katie’s water broke and she was rushed to the hospital. Soon after arriving, the nurse checked to measure her progress, and could feel the umbilical cord. They had to get the baby out as soon as possible. Katie was given an emergency C section right away. Her placenta wasn’t positioned correctly, and was pushing and putting pressure on the baby. Walker was soon transported to the Rady Children’s Hospital NICU in San Diego, away from both Katie and Wes.
Katie is still in recovery and Wes has been able to visit Walker. Both her and Walker are doing as well as they can be! The doctors say that Walker will be staying for 3 months. We know this will be a long road to travel. With the help of their friends, family, and community, we are hoping to help them have one less thing to worry about… Finances! These costs for the hospital stay, travel, along with regular monthly bills can really put a stress we want to try and help them avoid.
We all love this family so much, and would greatly appreciate any help they can get to help make this as easy as possible! If you can not contribute to costs, we ask that you please share! We also appreciate all those who have already reached out asking how they can help!
Thank you all so much! The Parrish’s are like family to us, and we will do whatever it takes to help! Wes, Katie, and the kids all appreciate all the love, support, and help from you all! <3
