Mitchelstown Ukrainian Refugee Project

Since the war in Ukraine began 4.5 million Ukrainians have fled their country.  Some 21,000 Ukrainian refugees have arrived into Ireland and this number is set to increase significantly with  the Irish Government announcing in March that it expects to receive over 200,000 refugees in the coming months.

We are working in partnership with the Kingston Charity Trust to renovate houses located in Kingston College, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork for Ukrainian families. As you can see from the above video, the houses need to be significantly upgraded and we have a number of brilliant tradespeople who have volunteered to help with the renovations over the next few weeks. We have already received a phenomenal response to this project with more than €200,000 received prior to launching this page. Due to the huge interest in the project we decided to launch this page to make it easier for people to donate. The monies raised will go towards the cost of renovating the houses and any excess monies will be used to support Ukrainian families settling in Ireland.

For more information on the project you can read the Irish Times article here.

If you would like to donate to this cause, we would be very grateful.

Many thanks and kind regards,
