MISSION: Dominican Republic Community Service Brigade 2025
Donation protected
My name is Caitlyn and I am a proud disciple who is part of the Chicago Church of Christ - declaring Jesus as LORD 02.22.2022!
Over the last couple years, I have spent several hours studying God's word (The Bible) really diving into Jesus' life and admirable characteristics. One of my favorite traits he demonstrated is the LOVE that we are called to reflect into the world. One of the ways I feel God uses me to reflect this love is through a spiritual gift of serving others and volunteering with non-for-profit organizations.
With all that being said...
I will be serving in my 2nd Community Service Brigade with HOPE Worldwide ... this time heading to the Dominican Republic this October!
In the communities we will be serving, healthcare treatment, education, and medications are inaccessible, scarce, too expensive, diluted/polluted, and sometimes non-existent. Participating inspires greater hope in our neighbors, and registration fees pay for the safe delivery of quality US medications and healthcare services to those in need. I will be using paid vacation time (PTO), personal savings and will be raising money via GoFund Me to support my travel/boarding expenses. Bonus: If you need your dog walked or childcare - I am your girl for ANY donation amount!
Travel budget is approximately $1,750.00. ALL funds will be used for brigade costs: medical supplies, children's toys/craft supplies, airfare, food/water, HOPE Worldwide donation.
I will also be collecting over the counter medicine, medical supplies and children's toys/items to contribute to the brigade supplies and gift to the local community. If you would like to contribute physical donations - please contact me directly.
Any donations, prayers, words of wisdom (or even Spanish lessons are accepted!). Thank you for anything you provide.
