Another GoFund me, Another Mission! Indeed you find yourself here today perhaps of curiosity or just by mistake, but I promise to go straight to the point.
It is a global pandemic, we all know this! Imagine with all the unemployment, sickness and fear plaguing the world we also had to think about when we were next going to have fresh drinking water?
This is the situation in a little remote village named Okaigben, Edo state in Nigeria. When Fr Churchill from St Joseph Catholic church reached out to me, he explained how the community completely relied on rainwater for their main source of "safe" drinking water, and during dry seasons freshwater is like gold!
A village filled with predominantly widows and people struggling to meet just the basic needs of life, a borehole installation would allow them to have safe drinking water.
As a mother myself, despite everything currently going on, I couldn't imagine having to worry about something as basic as water for children, so I ask you today for two things:
- Prayer: It is not enough to keep these people in your thoughts please pray for them as well. The world needs God now more than ever, and there are so many communities in this world that are currently being forgotten as we panic and worry about ourselves.
- Funds: Anything will do. Building this borehole will cost just shy of £2500, any contribution small or big will help towards this mission.
