Mission Thanksgiving 2026!!!

This is a fundraiser to support our local families and churches to deliver warm Thanksgiving meals on Thanksgiving Day, a hot dinner to our local church supporting their hypothermia homeless shelter and our local Fire Department.

THANK YOU to everyone who has been donating to this cause since 2018. Since the inception of our “Mission Thanksgiving,” because of all of you, we have been able to prepare and deliver Thanksgiving dinners to 230 local families in our area. That is 2,300 people! Additionally, Piero’s Corner last year donated 1,000 to the Epiphany Church’s hypothermia shelter near Christmas Eve to feed the homeless both breakfast and dinner. A special thanks goes out to Epiphany Church for helping to organize the hypothermia shelter’s breakfasts and dinners!

In 2025, with the help of St. Veronica Church, local individuals, US Food, and Ben Barnes, Mission Thanksgiving reached our goal of more than $6,850 through this GoFundMe, including $600 through walk-ins at Peiro’s restaurant. Your donations helped provide Thanksgiving dinners for 40 families, feeding another 400 people in our neighborhood, as well as approximately 60 homeless individuals at the hypothermia shelter. We cannot thank everyone who participated for their time, money, and love in accomplishing this goal.

This year, Mission Thanksgiving is asking for donations to provide meals for 40 families and whatever capacity the hypothermia shelter needs. If everyone could provide their donations prior to November 23, 2026, our staff and volunteers will have the time to prepare and deliver these amazing dinners to our neighbors who need this love and assistance.

Mission Thanksgiving’s goal in 2026 is 40 dinners at $120 a dinner = $4,800, plus any additional funds to help fund the hypothermia shelter dinner in January 2027 and add in our local Fire Department.

This year, the staff at Peiro’s will be preparing and delivering these dinners, which include:

• 15 lb. Tom Turkey

• Chestnut gravy

• Stuffing

• Mashed potatoes

• Green bean casserole

• And a yummy dessert to finish it off – pumpkin pie

All deliveries are within a five-mile radius.
