Hi, my name is Noah and myself and two of my friends, Carys and Josie, are youth from Tonbridge Baptist Church and we are flying out to Uganda in October 2026 to help with a charity called Mission Rwentobo. This charity supports a small community clinic in rural Uganda and the local community around it. The contrast between what is available on the NHS in primary and secondary care in the UK and what is available to the rural poor in Uganda is huge, but Hope Community Clinic is addressing some of these inequalities by offering affordable health care in Rwentobo. Last year, their main focus was maternity due to high mortality rates in mothers and children, but their work is paying off as their first baby was born in december. The majority of the local people live in what we would class as extreme poverty, and Mission Rwentobo strives to help them. We plan to stay in Uganda for two weeks to help with the clinic and attached school and provide overall assistance to the team we are flying out with. I and the other youth will be helping in the school and will be sitting in on lessons to experience first hand what life is like for a schoolchild in Rwentobo. The purpose of this fundraiser is to help raise money for the flights to and from Uganda and the accommodation while we stay there. Thank you for any donation (going to Mum, split between us), no matter how small, it all helps.
