My name is Gillian, and while I call the North of Scotland home, a large piece of my heart lives in Egypt.

As a Christian, I am called to love and serve, but I am constantly humbled by the people of Egypt. Despite facing incredible poverty, their generosity of spirit is boundless. I’ve started this fund to give back to a community that has given me so much perspective.

What I do:

• Education & Enterprise: Empowering women through local business projects and ensuring children have the tools to learn.

• The Elderly & Vulnerable: I am currently working with local contractors to develop cooling solutions for homes to protect the vulnerable during the life-threatening heat of the summer months.

• Animal Welfare: Supporting a dedicated animal hospital in Luxor that provides vital care for both beloved pets and the working animals that families rely on for their livelihoods.

• Faith & Community: Supporting a local church that welcomes over 80 children every week—providing a safe haven to play, grow, and learn about Christ.

My faith drives me, but my door is open to everyone. I am committed to supporting anyone in need, regardless of their background.

Where Your Money Goes

To ensure your generosity has the greatest impact, I work directly with local leaders and vendors. Your donations are used for:

• Building & Infrastructure: Payment for local Egyptian contractors to install cooling solutions and perform essential property improvements to protect the elderly and vulnerable from extreme heat.

• Education & Schooling: Purchasing school bags, uniforms, and stationery, as well as providing educational literature for children who otherwise might not have the tools to learn.

• Animal Welfare: Funding life-saving supplies for the Luxor animal hospital, including medications, bandages, and specialised equipment for working donkeys, horses, and local pets.

• Direct Aid: Providing clothes and basic necessities for families struggling with extreme poverty, ensuring that the most basic human needs are met with dignity.
