Mission of HOPE and SERVICE all the way from YWAM Mazatlan

Hello beautiful friends!

This year marks my third time in Mexico and my fourth time with YWAM.

Honestly, I never thought I’d return to YWAM after the second time—let alone the third or fourth.

Some of you might think YWAM is just a trendy, modern Christian missionary movement—a bit extreme even (a bunch of broken people from all over the world living by faith and fundraising, seeking Jesus). And yes, that’s seems like, but truly, something deeper happens here.

When I arrived at the YWAM base in Mazatlán, God brought back a memory I had completely forgotten. It was from when I was 20 years old, first seeking God through a Catholic-charismatic fellowship called Maranatha. I was doing the Alpha Course, attending retreats and conferences, and surrounded by people whose hearts were pure. The Holy Spirit was tangible—it was beautiful. It showed me how I wanted to live.

And as soon as I entered the YWAM base here in Mazatlán, I felt that same Spirit—the Holy Spirit ️—alive and present.

Sincerly, I didn’t plan to stay this year that long I came as a visitor only.

I had been following YWAM Mazatlán on Instagram for over 3 years. It always spoke to me, but when it came to finances and commitment, I never felt ready.

But God was ready.

During my first week, every message spoke to me. I encountered God on the streets while walking, at the beach while resting—especially through one woman who approached me with a Bible and ended up talking with me for three hours straight. I kept encountering passages like the Gospel of Luke, and the story of the woman at the well. Wherever I went, He was there.

Then I heard a question in my spirit:

“Would you like to experience more of Me?”

You know, sometimes we think we've experienced everything with God, but then life shows us we’ve barely scratched the surface. His ways are deeper, wider, and more mysterious than we can imagine

Isaiah 55:8–9 (NIV)

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.

“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

I have been currently serving on the mission field in Mexico for 5 months, where God has been pouring out His heart and calling me to go deeper in His Word—especially through the message of “Abide in Him” (John 15).
