We are a group of Community Organizers and Advocates with a goal to help combat homelessness. The mission of the Missing Sock Tour is to collect the gently used or new socks, gloves, hats, and scarves of individuals, to provide them a new home for those in need.  If you have a sock with a missing match, we'll take it and pair it! Amongst those that experience homelessness, an item as simple as a sock, holds much value. To kick off our tour, we will be visiting locations in the Washington DC, Baltimore, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut areas, as well as shelters in these states, where homelessness is the most prevalent, to provide these resources to them with our volunteer outreach team. In each state, our tour's goal is to provide these items to 100 people. In addition, we are accepting donations of granola bars, masks, hand sanitizer, and laundry detergent. Drop off locations have been set up for collection, and collection dates will be from 12/6/21-12/20/21; please email us for a list of these locations. Distribution of the collected items will take place 12/26/21-12/31/21.
