Miss Zoie, Former Owner of Hobbledehoy, Needs Help
Donation protected
My name is Diane Adamson and I have lived next door to Hobbledehoy Montessori School for 30 years. I have seen (and heard) many children come and go to Hobbledehoy. Miss Zoie, former owner of Hobbledehoy, has been caring for our neighborhood's children for 34 years. Living next door to each other for so long has made us family and sometimes family needs help so I am asking for that help today.
Zoie recently sold the school and retired due to some ongoing health issues, and is currently staying at a physical rehab center to regain her health and go home. Her coverage will not pay for the rehab facility after December 15th; therefore she needs to go home. The issue is, her home requires a lot of refurbing in order for the County to allow her return. Why - because the heater is not working and the condition of her home has declined severely. She was not prepared for the expense required either financially, emotionally or otherwise to address these issues and needs a bit of help.
Further complicating and adding more stress to the issue, Zoie’s husband Mo, was stricken with a rapidly progressing illness and passed away last week while Zoie was in her second week at the rehab facility. Zoie was unable to see her husband prior to his passing.
My husband and I are reaching out to our neighborhood as Zoie could really use our help right now. Funds will go to repair/replace their heating system and remove anything that could cause respiratory issues (which is pretty much everything). Zoie has worked extremely hard and I feel she deserves to live comfortably and my husband and I are invested in making that happen. Please help us to bring Zoie home to a comfortable, safe environment.
I understand this month is challenging due to the holiday. Please help as you can.
