Miss Mercedes Needs Our Help

Hello everyone! We are raising funds to help our Palisades Elementary first grade classroom aide, Miss Mercedes, get a new car after hers was smoked out during the Palisades fire. She stayed with the children who were not picked up by their parents and rode on the bus with them to Brentwood. This was a heroic act of bravery and kindness.

As a result of not evacuating herself, and choosing to stay with the kids, her car remained in the Palisades and was filled with smoke and ash. It is toxic and unhealthy. She is still driving it as she doesn’t have any other option at the moment —so let’s work together to give her one! She took care of our kids and now it’s our turn to take care of her. #PaliStrong
