Hi! I'm the 2019 Miss Calaveras County! My name is Katherine Sharp, but you can call me Kat. This June I will be competing for Miss California! I'm so grateful for this exciting opportunity to make a change through sharing my social initiative platform of encouraging disability-inclusion in social spaces, and also through increasing media representation for the LGBT community. I'm proud to be the first person to represent Calaveras County at Miss California! I never dreamed I would be afforded this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and yet here I am!

I would greatly appreciate your support as I raise funds to cover the costs related to the competition, including a donation to the Miss America Foundation which supports the scholarships being awarded. These related costs also include transportation and lodging, clothing for the competition, as well as personal coaching and necessities as I prepare to compete.  Any additional funds above my goal will be donated equally to Guide Dogs for the Blind and Disability Rights California.  Thank you so much for your support!
