Miss Black and Gold Scholarship Pageant 2021
Spende geschützt
Greetings,
My name is U'Neque Brakes. I am contestant #4 in the Miss Black and Gold pageant organized by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated.
At the University of Central Florida, I am a third year student majoring in Finance. I have aspirations to become a Financial Advisor within the property management industry. If crowned Miss Black and Gold, I will use the scholarship awarded to cover the cost of my tuition and equipment to aid me in educating children with dance.
It is important to teach children about self-expression because while growing up they are prone to experience peer pressure to "fit it". The arts are shown to build self confidence, independence, self- advocacy, and creativity. Dance has been a healthy outlet for me, but due to the lack funds I did not start dancing until high school. My platform in the pageant is to teach dance in Central Florida to minority children who might not have the finances to learn dance with a company.
With the opportunity to compete in this pageant, I am able to gain crucial characteristics such as public speaking, time management, and networking opportunities. I am thankful for being accepted into this pageant.
My goal is $1,200 to cover the expenses for competing in this pageant. I understand that we are in difficult times, but any donation will be greatly appreciated.
My PayPal and Venmo is @unequeb if these methods are preferred.
Thank you!!!
