Hello everyone! My name is Chelsea, and many know my mom as "Miss April". On Monday September 29, 2025 my mom fell down a flight of concrete steps on her way to work, resulting in a traumatic brain injury. So far she has undergone two emergency surgeries to address the bleeding and swelling in her brain. As of right now she is still sedated in the ICU, and breathing on a ventilator. I created this fundraiser to raise money that can be used for our family during this time of uncertainty. My sweet mother has a very long road to recovery ahead of her when she wakes up, and many of us have taken off work to be by her side. This was a freak accident that happened in the blink of an eye, creating several unexpected expenses we've been trying to manage. Family has traveled in from out of state, hotel expenses, gas to get back and forth from the hospital etc. These are all things that I plan to use this fundraiser for, to make this challenging time just a bit easier on all of us so that we can show up for my mom in the way she needs us to right now.
