Hello, my name is Karina, and I am raising funds to support my sister, Mishel, during one of the most traumatic moments of her life.

On Tuesday, January 20th, around 3:00 p.m., ICE agents arrested my brother-in-law. My sister was present during the arrest and witnessed an extremely violent and traumatic incident. The agents beat and strangled him, sprayed gas into his eyes, and destroyed the vehicle he was in by breaking the driver’s window. Before being taken into the ICE vehicle, his last words to my sister were:

“Run, Mishel, run and save yourself.”

My brother-in-law was a hardworking, loving, and respectful young man who was very close to our family.

My sister is deeply traumatized and urgently needs psychological support. She is currently a student, and my brother-in-law was her only source of financial support. Right now, it is extremely difficult for her to work or even leave her home due to the emotional and physical impact she experienced.

My sister is also suffering from severe dental pain and facial swelling. Part of the funds raised will help cover urgent medical and dental expenses.

The funds raised will be used for:

- Rent and basic living expenses

- Therapy to address trauma

- Medical and dental care

- Financial support while she works toward emotional and economic stability

As her sister, it is heartbreaking to see her go through this. We have always supported each other, and today I am asking for your help to support her during this incredibly difficult time.

Hola, mi nombre es Karina y estoy recaudando fondos para apoyar a mi hermana Mishel durante uno de los momentos más dolorosos y traumáticos de su vida.

El martes 20 de enero, alrededor de las 3 de la tarde, agentes de ICE arrestaron a mi cuñado. Mi hermana se encontraba presente durante el arresto y fue testigo de una escena extremadamente violenta y traumática. Los agentes golpearon y ahorcaron a mi cuñado, le rociaron gas en los ojos y destruyeron el vehículo en el que se encontraba: rompieron la ventana del conductor y los parabrisas. Antes de ser subido al vehículo de ICE, sus últimas palabras hacia mi hermana fueron:

“Corre, Mishel, corre y sálvate tú.”

Desde ese momento, la vida de mi hermana cambió por completo. Mi cuñado era un joven trabajador, amoroso y respetuoso, muy unido a nuestra familia.

Mi hermana quedó profundamente afectada emocionalmente. Ha sufrido un trauma severo y necesita apoyo psicológico urgente. Además, ella es estudiante y mi cuñado era su único sustento económico. En este momento, le resulta muy difícil trabajar o incluso salir de casa debido al impacto emocional y físico que ha vivido.

Como consecuencia de lo ocurrido, mi hermana también presenta un fuerte dolor dental y una inflamación severa en el rostro. Parte de los fondos recaudados se utilizarán para cubrir los gastos médicos, incluyendo una endodoncia que necesita con urgencia.

Los fondos recaudados serán destinados a:

- Pago de renta y gastos básicos

- Atención psicológica para tratar el trauma vivido

- Gastos médicos y dentales

- Apoyo mientras logra recuperar estabilidad emocional y económica

Como su hermana, me duele profundamente verla pasar por esta situación. Siempre nos hemos apoyado mutuamente, y hoy recurro a su solidaridad para ayudarla a salir adelante.
