Miranda's Fight Against CIRS and Mold Allergy

Donation protected
Dear friends and family,

Miranda, unfortunately, has been diagnosed with Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS), which is a chronic illness that causes inflammation throughout the body. It's triggered by exposure to biotoxins, such as mold or tick bites, and long COVID, which overwhelm the body's processing ability. In 2024, she lost her home and nearly all of her belongings. She is working so hard to rid herself of any toxins that could prolong her healing. She is on a year plan with a naturopathic doctor to restore her health, but it may take longer. Miranda, her two big dogs, Scarlett and Boga, three cats, Meow, Kitty, and Boo, and her two birds, Sonny and Baby Girl, along with her fish tank, are currently living with Scott and me since September. Unfortunately, our house harbors the same mold toxins. Mold is everywhere, and many symptoms are never diagnosed properly; we have been through four MDs. Plus, a couple of other doctors finally found information that explains all her symptoms, and there is no easy fix. Due to the lack of care she has received through Washington Regional, I tried to get her to go to Mercy or Mayo, but she feels that they will treat her the same way, not take her seriously, and send her away with no answers. She says she feels like a joke. Her current doctor said they would get her to UMAS in December, which they have never called, and when I call to ask about it, they act like I am crazy. We have hired an out-of-network doctor specializing in treating these symptoms, but it's not cheap.
We are desperately trying to get her seen by a neurologist since her emergency room visits at the Washington Regional Emergency room from the first week in December when we were there twice in one week. Her appointment is now March 18.
Miranda exercises daily, sees a massage therapist, does energy work, and attends Physical and Red Light Therapy. She has been off all sugars possible, eating high-protein salads and no carbs for the past few months. She is improving; we have replaced her home, and hopefully, we can get her moved in by the end of March. Our insurance does not cover damage to homes from mold. So all we are doing is out of pocket, and it's in the thousands of dollars. Due to her severe allergy to mold toxins, she has to buy new furniture unless it's items that can be cleaned easily and do not have any way to harbor mold. She still needs furniture, new clothes, boots, and shoes and plans to live a minimalist lifestyle in her home.
Let's keep the conversations positive if you see her out and about because we could all use it now.
I was reluctant to put out a GoFundMe due to criticism I received when she had her back surgery one year ago. Thank you to everyone who donated during that fundraiser. I realized that we could make this situation not hurt so much due to our incurring expenses by helping her recover from this devastating event. So here I am again, humbly asking for your help. I love you all and appreciate your prayers and support.
