Ecuador Cries
Donation protected
Carlos (Kako) is our foreign exchange student (and now brother) who came to the US for his junior year of high school. However, Kako isn't worried about planning his summer vacation, prom or the upcoming concerts he was supposed to attend because his hometown Portoviejo, Ecuador is in complete ruins... and there is nothing he can do about it.
An enormous 7.8 earthquake assaulted Ecuador Saturday, murdering family and friends, and robbing people dearest to him of their access to water and food as well as obliterating their businesses.
Meanwhile, hope fades for trapped victims amidst recovery efforts as another 6.0 earthquake hit today, six days later, on April 22. The stores are looted, homes destroyed, and the stench of rotting flesh fills his city streets...
Kako's family has lost a lot, except for hope. Please donate anything you can, everything helps, no matter how small.
I will be withdrawing the amount raised since Carlos doesn't have a US bank account, and I will be delivering the funds personally, by check to him the day before he goes back to Ecuador. Once he returns home, these donations will be given to his family in Ecuador for food, repairs, medical bills as well as funeral arrangements.
Please never cease to pray for Ecuador and the families affected. Thank you so much for all your love and support!!!
