His resilience is awe-inspiring, but his daily pain and declining mobility have turned simple tasks into insurmountable struggles. And for 14 years, as a single mother, I saved tirelessly, accumulating $150,000 to secure a brighter future for my son—a future stolen when someone we trusted betrayed us and took it all.
